Head of Management

Dr. Ozy stands as a distinguished Optometrist, with a stellar academic background marked by an outstanding distinction from Abia State University. His commitment to the field is underscored by his notable positions as a distinguished fellow of the Nigerian Optometric Association and a Resident of the Nigerian College of Optometrists, where he has garnered significant acclaim for his contributions and achievements.

In addition to his academic prowess, Dr. Ozy has demonstrated exceptional leadership within the Nigerian Optometric Association, where he not only holds a prestigious position but has also served as the President of the Association. His multifaceted involvement extends beyond the realm of optometry, as he has assumed numerous leadership roles in prominent organizations such as Lions Club International and several others, further solidifying his reputation as a respected figure in various spheres.

Beyond his role as an Optometrist, Dr. Ozy’s administrative acumen shines through his positions as an Administrator and Director within the FCT Civil Service. His impact in administrative capacities has been substantial, reflecting his ability to navigate complex organizational structures with finesse.

What truly sets Dr. Ozy apart is not just his professional expertise but also his exceptional communication skills. Renowned for his eloquence, he effortlessly engages audiences, making him a sought-after speaker in public forums. Dr. Ozy’s natural passion for training and public speaking has enhanced his ability to disseminate knowledge effectively, contributing to the enrichment of those under his guidance.

He served as the Director of Program and Projects of Okapi Children Cancer Foundation from 2020 before he was elected the Head of Management July 2022.

IKENNA IGBODIKA

Patient/Hospital Liaison Manager

Dr. Ikenna is a multifaceted professional with a unique blend of medical, financial, and business expertise. He holds a medical degree from the University of Lagos and is a chartered accountant, having completed his ACCA qualification. Ikenna is also an MBA graduate from HEC Paris, where he honed his leadership and strategic management skills.

With a diverse career spanning across healthcare, banking, finance, and entrepreneurship, Ikenna has demonstrated a passion for blending clinical knowledge with business acumen. He started his career in the healthcare sector as a medical doctor before transitioning to the banking industry, where he worked at GTBank as a Systems Control Officer. In this role, he acquired valuable experience in process engineering, audit and investigation, marketing, and customer care management.

Ikenna’s entrepreneurial journey led him to establish a finance company, where he served as the CEO, responsible for developing and driving the company’s strategy. His leadership and strategic foresight helped steer the organization through its formative years, positioning it for growth and success in a competitive market.

With his unique blend of clinical and business expertise, Ikenna is focused on creating sustainable healthcare solutions and improving healthcare access and efficiency.

Adeola Akindele ACCA ACA ACTI

Programs Manager

Adeola Akindele is a Chartered Accountant and Tax Professional with a strong passion for improving the lives of children and families affected by cancer. As a dedicated volunteer, she brings a unique blend of purpose, leadership, and compassion to the Okapi Children Cancer Foundation (OkapiCCF).

An associate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Adeola also holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy. Her extensive expertise in accounting and tax equips her to provide valuable insights into financial management and resource allocation, strengthening the foundation’s capacity to fulfill its mission effectively.

Adeola’s journey with OkapiCCF began as a volunteer, where her commitment to the cause has grown significantly over time. She is deeply aligned with the foundation’s vision of offering hope, support, and essential resources to children battling cancer and their families.

With her professional expertise and heartfelt dedication, Adeola is helping to expand the foundation’s reach and make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

Grace B. Akpan

Communications Manager

Grace is a dynamic professional with a strong background in NGOs, education, and other service-oriented sectors. She has a proven track record of delivering exceptional service, fostering collaboration within teams, and cultivating positive relationships.

She holds certificates in Customer Relationship Management, Collaborative Working in Remote Teams, and Communication and Interpersonal Skills at Work, among other achievements.

Currently, Grace is actively engaged in the private health sector, where she continues to apply her skills and passion for service.

Chioma F. Ikechukwu, Esq.

Events Co-Ordinator

Chioma is a passionate humanitarian and dedicated member of the Okapi Children Cancer Foundation (OkapiCCF) team, where she has volunteered since October 2023. As a volunteer, field agent, data collection officer, and charity sales team leader, Chioma has played a key role in organizing school cancer awareness visits, charity shop sales, and hospital engagements

A qualified lawyer, Chioma holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a Barrister at Law (B.L.) from the Nigerian Law School. Her professional experience spans legal practice, administration, and community engagement.  

She is an active member of several organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Young African Leaders Initiative, Slum and Rural Health Initiative, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (Advocate).

BENJAMIN MICHAEL ROTIMI

Chairman Volunteer Committee

Michael Benjamin Rotimi holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Diploma in Business Administration. Currently employed in the Nigerian civil service, Benjamin concurrently serves in an Audit and Accounting firm. With extensive expertise in marketing, accounting, management, training, and manpower development, Benjamin brings a wealth of practical experience to the table. In addition to his professional achievements, Benjamin is a devoted family man, happily married and blessed with two beautiful daughters He currently oversees and co-ordinates the activities of the OkapiCCF Volunteer group.
